What a shoot day costs.
And what it includes.

A full day in the house costs 1,300 € and includes 25 finished, edited pictures. A half day costs 800 € with 15 pictures. Both include editing and a simple right of use, unlimited in time and place.

If you need more pictures you get them, at a price that reflects the additional editing. Number and amount are in the quote beforehand. All prices are plus VAT.

What you book is my time in the house – and the pictures come out of it. That is why the day is the unit, not the single motif.

How many pictures a day produces depends on what is being photographed. A room takes time: staging, lighting, photographing, putting it back. A view across the terrace is done in ten minutes. What fits into a day in your house I tell you beforehand, not afterwards.

Time in the house is the one lever that decides almost everything: half day or full day. The second is the number of finished pictures – 15 or 25 are included, every further one is editing time.

Colour correction, cropping and standard retouching are in. Anything beyond that – a whole part of a picture that has to go, a terrace furnished after the fact – depends heavily on the motif and is quoted separately.

Then there is travel: 0.40 € per kilometre. Within half an hour's drive of Porta Westfalica it does not apply. If your house is further away the amount is in the quote; for a long journey an overnight stay is added.

Because I would have to invent them. What makes a shoot day faster or slower is rarely settled in advance: a room has not been prepared, a lamp is broken, a room that should have been free has been let after all.

Things like that decide half an hour, sometimes two. A sample calculation that leaves them out would look neat and help you with nothing. Tell me which house it is and what is needed instead – then we work it out together.

The simple right of use for all delivered pictures, unlimited in time and place: website, booking portals, social media, brochure, press. No buying again after two years, no limit to one medium.

Along with the preliminary conversation, planning the shoot day, your own selection of pictures and delivery as high-resolution JPEG, as TIFF or PNG on request. Invoice after delivery, no advance payment.

The drone is included as well, if the house is to be shown from above. Only when a special clearance has to be obtained for the take-off – near a military training area or a heliport, for instance – are the effort and the fees added.

Then we talk about what is possible in half a day. Often that is more than people think – provided the rooms are free and lie close together.

What does not work is pressing a full day's work into half of one. Better fewer pictures that are right than many nobody uses.

By the lines that are not in the day rate. A lower price with rights “for two years, web only” and editing “per picture extra” ends up costing more – only later, and in instalments.

Pictures of a house last a long time. They sit on your own site, in booking portals, in the brochure and in the press, and they should be allowed to stay there.
