one coast
Timmendorfer Strand and Niendorf, Travemünde at the other end of the same bay, then Hohwacht, Eckernförde, Kühlungsborn, Graal-Müritz, Zingst, Rügen and Sellin. After East Westphalia, where I live, it is the densest part of the map. That is why it has a page of its own.
The second group with a page of its own lies eight hundred kilometres further south: Füssen and Fischen im Allgäu.
From Porta Westfalica
this is no day trip
Whether the journey pays off for a single house depends on the scope, not on the distance. A house with a restaurant, a spa and several room types fills a day on its own. With smaller properties I combine two or three in one place where I can.
A full day in the house costs 1,300 €, a half day 800 €, both plus VAT. That includes 25 or 15 finished, edited pictures, the editing and a simple right of use, unlimited in time and place. Travel is charged at 0.40 € per kilometre and is free within half an hour's drive.

Where do you photograph?
All over Germany, from Porta Westfalica in North Rhine-Westphalia. The densest parts of the map are East Westphalia with fourteen places, the Baltic coast with ten and the Münsterland with six. Forty of the houses are named on the reference list; beyond those the map shows where the work has been so far, and it is not a closed list.
What does travel cost?
0.40 € per kilometre. Within half an hour's drive of Porta Westfalica I do not charge for it.
Is the journey worth it for a single house?
That depends on the scope, not on the distance. A hotel with a restaurant, a spa and several room types fills a day on its own. A holiday flat with three rooms does not — then properties are combined, or it becomes a half day.
Do you also photograph outside Germany?
Occasionally. The map shows Germany because that is where most of the work is; work in the Alps has also taken me a little beyond it.
